Andy Bull

A talented Australian artist that I got the pleasure of seeing live. Amazing voice. Amazing personality and stage presence as well. His voice may be feminine, but 100% unique and powerful. It's alternative-pop with lots of hand claps, synth and drums.

Top 3:

  1. Andy Bull – Dog. Love this song, it is actually really deep. And Lisa Mitchell nails it too.
  2. Andy Bull – Baby I Am Nobody Now
  3. Andy Bull – Keep On Running
  4. Andy Bull – Talk Too Much

SAN CISCO

An awesome Australian band, plays fun upbeat tunes that make you wanna dance.

Top 5:

  1. San Cisco – Fred Astaire
  2. San Cisco – Awkward - EP Version
  3. San Cisco – RUN
  4. San Cisco – No Friends
  5. San Cisco – Wild Things

She & Him

Duo consists of the wonderful and amazing Zooey Deschannel who delivers a folksy sound with awesome olden-day vocals

I'm hooked on the "Volume 1" album and the "A very She & Him Christmas" album that would be perfect for time of the year.

Here are my Top 5:

  1. She & Him – Sentimental Heart
  2. She & Him – You Really Gotta Hold On Me
  3. She & Him – Baby, It's Cold Outside Remember the movie Elf?
  4. She & Him – I Thought I Saw Your Face Today
  5. She & Him – Oh Boy! (I actually think this one's my favourite.)
Anyway, bye.

Winter Playlist 2014

Hello, welcome to my random song picks.
Winter Edition

  1. Start of something new by Voxtrot; I like this one the best.. probs the only one i really like. Sounds like the smiths or the cure- '80s British indie rock but more flowery. The singer resembles Morrisey's vocals.
  2. Winter Winds by Mumford and Sons; Ah yes mumford. Banjo en pointe.
  3. The Book of Love by The Magnetic Fields. So indie lol that lazy voice.
  4. The Dreamer by The Tallest Man on Earth. Acoustic guitar but its groovy,
  5. Lack Luster Love by Kyle Andrews. His songs are usually upbeat and happy but this one is a good sad one.
  6. Winter Calls by The Rifles. Pretty upbeat and dancy i like it.
  7. Hurricane by Bob Dylan. love.
  8. Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. yeye
  9. Landfill by Daughter. Female vocals acoustic-ey type legato kick drum
  10. Middle of Nowhere by Hot Hot Heat. Cool.
  11. Dog by Andy Bull. Saw him live last year! Love this song, even though it's about depression, it's got a quite upbeat melody.

ZHU

FUNKY/ELECTRONIC MUSIC~~~~~~~~

If you like funky electronic/beats this is for you. It's Disclosure meets Flume, had rough sex and then made babies that possesses The Weeknd's airy vocals. Like good music to chillax to I guess.

TOP 3 TRACKS (according to me):

  1. Faded. Drive alone at night to this song.
  2. Paradise Awaits. More fast-paced.
  3. Stay closer. Relax.

Bands playing in Brisbane

Unfortunately, I am fetus and I can't attend these kick-ass bands that are playing in Brisbane. This makes me mad and want to throw things at the monitor, but I won't bc it's fragile, and I've got a macbook air.

  1. Sweater Beats. REALLY REALLY SEXY beats, this is sex music. Smooth, relaxing, sex musics. I think I discovered them from Majestic casual Youtube channel (WHICH BTW IS THE SHIT IF YOU WANT TO RELAX.) Fav song: Make a move.

2. The Holidays. It literally is like holiday music, the drums everything, it makes you wanna dance and celebrate. And travel to fucking Jamaica or something.

3. Twenty one pilots. It's like rap meets MGMT/passion pit meets screamo. Full emotion, Unique sound. Fav songs: Fake You Out, Car radio and Holding on to you.

4. Listen Out Festival. THAT LINE UP. *drools*

JAKE BUGG

Jake Bugg's voice is like a combination of Fergie and UK Jesus. Probably a close second to Alex Turner. His songs are really nostalgic and has that olden-day/vintage tone to his voice. That barely exist in music today. I fell in love with his 1st album. If you like Bob Dylan/acoustic/folky songs this definitely hits the spot. His debut album is seriously the bomb.

TOP 4 SONGS BY JAKE BUGG (according to me):

  1. Two fingers. Odd title, but reminds me of good times. I know all the words.
2. Broken. This is a sad one, but sounds like heaven, oh man. Listen to this alone and you'll feel so *_*

3. Lighting Bolt. Good for walking down the road. More upbeat. How music used to be.

4. Slide. So calming. It's perf. Ahhh
