Spectrum- GoldLink

Heard "Spectrum" on triple J while driving home from the hospital in my car, had to turn the music up bc its so legit. sounds cool... well if there was just the instrumental version. I really dig the music more than the rap but still, sounds cool like old school rainbowroad mariokart video game music.

Royal Bass Music

ok this is a pretty great music channel on youtube if you listen to trap/triphop/ music
ok i admit filthy frank bought me here
still,
the beat go hard tho

Loon Lake "Farewell" Tour

Ate at Chur Burger, p.s. little creatures pale ale is very nice and drinkable. Arrived at The Brightside at the Valley. The stage is pretty intimate.

Saw some very elaborate bathroom art that speaks to me in volumes.

Saw, THIS GUY. I don't know his name so I had to search it up and do some research but he absolutely rocked the stage, his voice is extraordinary, along with his facial expressions. - sounds like Foo Fighters, but fast paced, with soul and power! He gave it his all and was sweating! They are "POLISH CLUB".

Loon Lake is breaking up. The crowd was great. Although a lot of people spilt their drinks, and there's always that one drunk chick that pushes in. And THAT ANNOYING COUPLE that makes out. They killed it though! and was so bloody brilliant. The finale song was "In the Summer", and what a great song to end it with. SO CHILL people were on the stage dancing to Cherry Lips.

Afterwards, we ran for the train. 3 minutes to the last train home. Literally sprinting and then the weirdest thing happened-- some guy playing the bongo to the beat of our running. Seems like something from a movie chase scene.

Valley Fiests 2k15

Feki

Went early-- probably around 2.30PM to catch Feki DJ'ing at Brunswick St. and doing his thang. Me and my brother take Valley Fiesta so seriously every year, we treat it like a music festival and plan all the set times. Gill Bates actually killed it. I thought he was a DJ but he's a rapper, so when he came out and started rapping I was like .... DAMN. His stage presence was so energetic. He really got the crowd going, and formed the crowd. Also he spits mad rhymes. I was truly blown away by his performance. Even songs I never heard before I sang along to because they were quite catchy, also we saw his crew.

Luke Million
Luke Million came on and there was nobody at the front so me, Nadi and Philip just went to the front and danced. At the end though, there were people dancing. You might know the Arnold song that has like 1 milllion views on Youtube. The one that goes "more energy" "down" "up", this was the guy who made it. So dancing to that was pretty cool. Caught ART vs SCIENCE. We meet again. Killed it as usual and played all the popular songs. That metal part from AIM Fire is actually amazing to rock out to and shake your hair.

That shirt tho.
He's daddy asf tbh.
Paces.
Caught Paces. There was a good vibe coming on with a lot of people dancing. But not too crowded. Just the right enough of space. Happy dancing- not drunk dancing! There is a difference! and it is so good. After dinner I spotted Young Franco in the crowd for Kilter. I just tapped him on the shoulder like "can I get a photo???" and he was like "Yeah SURE!" aw he was so chill.  I saw an opportunity and I took it. He's so cute. I'm so cute. Aw man, we are so cute. With our glasses. He touched me~! Forever crushing.

#youngfranco

Kilter~ That. Last. Song. Was. AMAZING. LAST DINOSAURS. Holy shit, AMAZING. FUCK ME. All the goodies and oldies and newies and their "rock with me" cover. All legit. The singer is so cute! and they sound SO GOOD live. Andy. Honolulu. Zoom. Evie. It felt very surreal when the old songs played. AMAZING like it was a good time, I wish I was dancing with someone and kissing them and it would be like a perfect cinematic scene during their song "Weekend" especially these lyrics, somehow I felt very euphoric:

I'll take you to the park

I'll take you to the ocean
I'll kiss you till it's dark
Go through all the motions

People were dancing and drunk. The crowd was wild! Do you really want it?. I was at the front to the side and ALPINE was so good on stage, played all the classics- FOOLISHLY ATTRACTED TO YOUUU~U~U~U~U~U. YEAH~ I'M HERE~~~~~ THERE'S GASOLINE IN MY EYES~~~ fun night.

 THANK YOU. TILL NEXT TIME.

Petit Biscuit - You

Continuing on with my "soundtrack to life", this is such a simple song, it's instrumental, but omg it's beautiful.

"This song makes me think of the slow and fast of life, the way it's always there and sometimes we're too blind to see it. I think of late night conversations with your best friend, and dancing in public when there's no music, crying for unknown reasons, and just living. I think this song is utterly beautiful. "

I think that comment describes my feels perfectly. I seem to love songs that make me imagine things or reflect on memories.

This Is The Life - Two Door Cinema Club

This song i love.. it's a typical TDCC track.  again, I think of those cinematic movie scenes where the main character has "flashbacks" of some details in their life, okay to be specific, i think of roller coasters, road trips, laughing, and beaches? and going to concerts. I'd love to record something to this song one day. I want this to be in the soundtrack of my life.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Growing Up (Sloane's Song) feat. Ed Sheeran

okay omg return of the MAC
ok just found this song is about babies um. its cute though.
ANOTHER mainstream music post. ok I like this song. well i like the cheesy lyrics- especially the last part where hes talking about the j-walking .. j walk but look before you do lmao  the part and he be giving mad advice.
actually i love that part- reminds me of youth n life n shit only the rap part though. so. yah.
like rmb to dont take life too seriously, do things youre not supposed to do but be reasonable with it. take chances, risks. etc tec. cherish things, bc those small things n memroeis r gon be the moments u will remember wen u old.

 Oh god im so cheesy
-xo

Taylor swift- wildest dreams

Okay i dont usually post mainstream music, like im not a HuUge fan of t-swizzle
but i quite like this song for some reason. i heard it on the radio with my friend and were like .. is that taylor swift? it sounds like her?! and it is.
WHY does  the chorus it sounds so lana del ray lol
anyway i like it. . . . not for the music video, just the song.
reminds me of that cinematic type love scenes where they elope, go dancing or something, slow-mo laughing and the main character has flashbacks LMFAO

coming over- james hersey

wtf so i heard this song on mainstream radio yesterday.
yes. i am one of those annoying hipster shits that gets mad when theyve heard a song ages ago and it finally recieves popular attention.
suE me.

this song kinda describes the only source of happiness in my life rn so yeah, again,  suE me.
and ofc theres an electric remix that is not too bad as well, luckily im pretty versatile when it comes to music

xo

Willow Smith "Easy Easy"

I honestly don't mind this version of "Easy Easy" by King Krule
seriously I think she did a good job
I only heard ever her sing "I whip my hair back and forth" years ago and that scarred me but she has a good voice
She kinda made it sound happy and summery and changed up the vibes

xo

Cleopold, Miami Horror, Joy, Young Franco.

Went to the Miami Horror concert last week and it was awesomeeeeee. I parked at fortitude valley and the traffic was awful & had to change 2 lanes to get to the parking area...also I bumped the left side of my car to a pole while turning... so FML, left a small scratch.
$5 for weekend parking is dirt cheap though.
Met up with my bro and we walked around looking for something to eat, went to "greaser" which was an underground burger/bar place, so secretive, and then took the above pic and walked out.

Anyway we decided to eat Alfredo's pizza. (which was a bit overpriced). we walked into another bar and wanted to get "cheeseburger spring rolls" but our stomachs were full, so next time..

Cleopold!
We entered the venue at Wooly Mammoth when the doors open at 8.30pm, walked straight in the doors and Miami Horror was ACTUALLY playing and I just walked in shamelessly and interrupted them in rehearsals AHHAHA DIDNT EVEN REALISE. SO AWKWARD. BUT HE WAS SINGING TO US. we walked out. I saw Reece. Walked right past him.. DIDNT REALISE.

We didn't know what to do while we waited so we decided to drink, 2 beers and it was the best decision at the time because later we were already drunk in a time frame of 5-10 minutes and had the time of our lives. I felt a lot more fun and confident when I'm drunk, words just come out of my mouth so easily, like the things I think of when I'm sober (should I say it??/or not??) I JUST fucking say it.

me (1/2 intoxicated, looking undoubtedly short & SUPER euphoric & UGLY) attempting to take a photo with reece (liam's friend who happens to be extremely tall & kawaii)

I met reece's girlfriend and i think i made a better impression of myself than 1/2 the people I feel i should be making good impressions of myself of (? makes sense.). and she was totally nice like we could be like besties. weird bc i hate people in general but i like a person if that makes sense, yeah it totally does like, you can like someone by themselves, as a person.... (mayb bc drunk everyone is your friend). We totally rocked the fuck out to the supporting act, Cleopold. It was like being on drugs, I guess alcohol is drugs. But you could FEEL the music more when you're dancing. everything is just heightened. Alcohol is fun. And concerts are more fun than clubbing imo. (dont have to worry bout sweaty boys rubbing their crotch against ur back- although that could be the fu........HOWEVER, better crowd, better music, people who like the same music~ and better dancing~~~~ and no bloody heels that give you blisters, literally~~~and more chill vibes ~assures. screw clubbing, it's funny though like when you're 17 you're like OMG cant wait to go clubbing  !!and when you finally do, it sucks donkey ass)

me w the white girls
I also met these two drunk white girls, one was very tall and she started grinding on me, and we just started dancing together and she's like "HEY!"  and im like 'HEY!" in the girls' bathroom. you meet the coolest people/

JOY
The second supporting act was JOY. I haven't heard of her but when she came on I just kept thinking omg she is beautiful and perfect like can i be your friend ? do i want to be her like am i supposed to be jealous ??or do i want her to be my friend that does questionable lesbianating stuff w (????? HALP). OMG she is actually really pretty n cool in my opinion and her bod is ugh. AND she has such an angelic voice.

Young Franco

Young Franco. I saw him before, and I was naturally fangirling bc he did look like a franco brother but here he is again and OMG hes so cute with his glasses and suit. HAHAH "who's this nerdy kid?" BUT HONESTLY HE KNOWS HOW TO DJ like WOW THIS SHIT IS THE EPITOME OF EDM. so funk. so hip. trap music. disco. EVRYTHINg. DANCE DANce DNACE until your legs fall off. he raised the motherfucking roof and I love how he dances to the music and looks SO HAPPY while doing it. I think i honestly enjoyed the supporting acts more than the primary one. maybe, perhaps because I was finally unravelling the sleepiness phase of the alcohol, yeah i am sure of it. I felt sleepy the rest of the night.

I hate waiting in between while people set up the stage. feels like eternity.. Finally at like 12am, Miami Horror comes on. They rocked and 100% delivered. They walked through the stage hi fiving people, jumped on the amp, did stage dives. BAD- ASS!  anyway, 10/10 would drink alcohol at a concert again.

East

Support act for Art vs Science was East or E^st (with a high hat). Up and coming triple J unearthed singer. She's has such a lovely stage presence. With cool dance moves and an amazing live voice. Plus points for her cool hair and hair flips. She owns the stage with her energy and passion! She's just so cool ok!

I remember listening to her song on Triple J. Her song "Old Age" is so good check it outttt.

Art Vs Science, Wooly Mammoth Brisbane

Saw Art VS. Science yesterday night at the Wooly Mammoth.
It was only $28.
And I had the experience of a lifetime.
Danced in the FRONT centre. Best. spot. ever.

They are such chill guys.

I was at right at the front thanks to some kind people. People near me were nice and chatty it's like concert etiquette. Talked to this middle aged lady and she's like "my son Djs dubstep downstairs" HAHHAHA
Was dancing with the girl next to me, she's like "would you get up and dance with me in the last song?"
I was like "do u wanna get kicked out by security" LOL

He did a fucking guitar solo during "Parlez Vous Francais"
LITERALLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME
AND I GRAZED HIS LEG
AND TOUCHED HIS SHOE

Mother of god kill me now i had the perfect view/angle

The drummer was cool and he broke his drumstick in the middle of a song. And he threw it out to the crowd at the end. I didn't catch it ! :-(

Their songs are heavily electronic, to be able to play it live with about 5 different types of synths and about 10 different types of foot pedals is astounding
He's daddy asf and I hugged him *_* and touched his hand.

The finale song should've been Magic Fountain. But it was Flippers. but yeah, still fucking AMAZING
What a cool band though.
Great night. Absolute choice.
Live music makes me feel so aLIVE

Le Pie

A relatively new artist. I first heard the song debut "Secrets" on Triple J while eating in the kitchen and I just knew it's gonna be my favourite song and I HAD to download it. I'm so in love with it. There's something so dreamy and surreal about it. Plus it's super catchy.
