Melbourne trip 2016

Went to melbourne in March for 4 days with Bessie and Anh (ABS adventure) finally. Stayed at the Victoria Hotel. First time travelling with friends, so can tick that off the bucket list.

Highlights

• Sovereign hill- everything was a cool experience- so many photo ops- everything worth it except  the coach ride LMFAO tbh
• gold mine tour!!!!!
• Drunk Bessie. only one question to test if she's drunk "Were you the only one who held the gold?" LMFAO bc at Sovereign hill we all held it but she doesnt rmb
• drunk bessie laughing while anh takes off her makeup and her eating chips on the bed and walking around in circles eating chips
• freedom..
• the hotel was actually DECE! for the price right in the CBD! 
• going to the hotel sauna and heated pool one morning-- wtf the spa was closed
• eating dumplings at chinatown
• Drunk bessie being romantic.. "expression of love"
• Random old guys making jokes. Sov hill and Casino LMFAO
• In Sea life we were in the forest area and I said to Anh "Snake!" and there was a lolly snake on the ground, she screamed and jumped, so funny. this guy and his daughter was there too laughing
• Price of the shanghai village dumplings were amazing and unbelievable

Lowlights

• so much walking/plan/early mornings
• $90 accidental uber black car ride from airport
• tapping on at the free tram zone LOL
• losing 20 bux at casino very quickly
• getting lost finding our hotel

Tips for further travel:

• Dont bring so much make up/skin care seriously its so heavy and youre not really bothered to
• Dont bring so much clothes. 2 shirts and jeans is enough. save for shopping
• Pack for winter if ur going to MELB... ugh.. and 1 heavy jacket..
• no plan with exact times- Just rough and wing it to save energy

Sydney Trip Pt. 4

• A lot of shit happened. 
• Went to Marrickville for the best Banh Mi Thit- Viet baguette sandwhich
• Visited Circular Quay where the Harbour Bridge and Opera house is.
• Shit tonne of people
• Tourist central
• Walked over to the Botanic Gardens. Didn't really go in
• Walking around looking for something to eat...
• Family friend's house for Christmas dinner. Drank a lot of rumbos and made a cool rap
• Next day, ate famous Pho at Pho An. "The best pho" it was good.
• Boxing day at DFO Homebush. Stuck in traffic on the highway for an hour
• CROWDED ASF. Lines everywhere. Was so bad. Horrible, never again
• Burberry, Coach and CK and MK tho.... couldn't even go in :(
• Bought CK performance active wear, a cotton on body shirt and an Oroton bag tho!
• ....Took the train to the city
• Went to St Mary's Cathedral on Christmas
• So much people, shit is legit, priest sang the whole gospel and sounded like James Blunt
• Ate at Burger project at World SQ and ate Aqua S- double YUM.
• Went to Chadstone- didnt shop :(
• Visited some dimsim place- $$. And Hello Kitty Diner-- stomach ache.
• Visited Bondi with Michelle. SO many tourist, so overcrowded, so many young adults from England and people from Spain......... saw some chick's boobies, she was just changing her bikini on the damn beach where everyone could see LMFAO 8)))))
• Wanted to eat at Cafes. Ended up with fish and chips...too much.... wasn't the best...went home wanting to vom
• Took photo of Bondi Icebergs for Instagram, tick.
• Stopped at Byron Bay----briefly--- in "The Pass" so beautiful, the waves, the stairs, and photogenic. So many people/tourists but less than Bondi and way less than DFO homebush.

Sydney trip pt. 3

• went to Darling harbour bc i was being a brat at home
• parked at secure parking... had to walk 20 mins. not even near the CBD the main parking is actually Wilson LOL
• so many people on christmas eve, so many tourists and English people.
• Saw the fireworks at 9pm. well it is on every saturday
• crowded asf
• no restaurants open. went to ippudo... closed.
• went to Martin Place to look at Christmas stuff
• saw the Pitt St lights

Sydney Trip Pt.2

Dot points bc I'm lazy.

• slept all the way to NSW
• arrived at Michelle/cindy/sandra's house
• slept.
• woke up next day went to Strathfield to eat at Buttermelt Cafe
• ordered the Buttermelt pancakes.. $15.5 and it was so worth it.
• Walked around Strathfield.. full of Korean stuff, laughed at how typical the name "Kim Sun Young" is
• Went to Cabramatta.. Vietnamese central/ $2 sugar cane drink
• Met up with Co Ha/Michelle
• Ate Bun Bo Hue at Dong Ba- Yum!
• Drank Viet iceed coffee at Cafe 85- Luke Nguyen's family owned? idk according to philip. v strong
• Shopped till midnight at Westfield- only bought a selfie stick/ loose black shorts and Loccitane oil cleanser 
• still has $10 on westfield card.
• was in a rush. ditched my sister and michelle lmfao

Sydney Trip Pt. 1

Woke up with nasty hay fever. Started heading out at 8AM Brisbane time, was actually only 1 hour drive to pass the NSW border and only about 1.5hr to drive to Byron, so close! Should visit Northern NSW more often. Slept most of the way, watched the rural areas, passed the cows, sugar factory, big banana,  arrived at 3PM at Premier Motor Inn, (booking.com) pretty comfortable place, very clean and spacious. I was following the GPS on my phone and was counting down 200m,100,50...NOW! and my dad did a sharp turn- woah! almost died...funny....The lady at the front desk was so nice and knowledgable about the areas/spots to eat even though we bought a chicken at Coles and ate it at the motel room. We walked into the main part of the town, saw some cute cafes that I wanted to visit- Old Johns & Element Bar. Also restaurants by the bay; Mangrove Jacks and Latitude 30.

We ate the best fish and chips at Sea Salt, a small store which had some organic coke?? It was perfect fish and chips, batter up. Went to Park Beach South was windy asf, the seagulls were struggling and it was very funny. Sand was flying, took photos at the rock. Then walked a bit to Jetty Beach, much more relaxing and calm, the waters were nice, the place was so pretty, we also walked to the jetty and saw people doing the jetty jumps/dive. Looked in the distance and there are people walking on the hill thing... looked like Ireland.

I like Coffs Harbour because it's quiet and nice, and not overcrowded (like Gold Coast).

Feki

Went early-- probably around 2.30PM to catch Feki DJ'ing at Brunswick St. and doing his thang. Me and my brother take Valley Fiesta so seriously every year, we treat it like a music festival and plan all the set times. Gill Bates actually killed it. I thought he was a DJ but he's a rapper, so when he came out and started rapping I was like .... DAMN. His stage presence was so energetic. He really got the crowd going, and formed the crowd. Also he spits mad rhymes. I was truly blown away by his performance. Even songs I never heard before I sang along to because they were quite catchy, also we saw his crew.

Luke Million

Luke Million came on and there was nobody at the front so me, Nadi and Philip just went to the front and danced. At the end though, there were people dancing. You might know the Arnold song that has like 1 milllion views on Youtube. The one that goes "more energy" "down" "up", this was the guy who made it. So dancing to that was pretty cool. Caught ART vs SCIENCE. We meet again. Killed it as usual and played all the popular songs. That metal part from AIM Fire is actually amazing to rock out to and shake your hair.

Paces.

Caught Paces. There was a good vibe coming on with a lot of people dancing. But not too crowded. Just the right enough of space. Happy dancing- not drunk dancing! There is a difference! and it is so good. After dinner I spotted Young Franco in the crowd for Kilter. I just tapped him on the shoulder like "can I get a photo???" and he was like "Yeah SURE!" aw he was so chill.  I saw an opportunity and I took it. He's so cute. I'm so cute. Aw man, we are so cute. With our glasses. He touched me~! Forever crushing.

Kilter~ That. Last. Song. Was. AMAZING. LAST DINOSAURS. Holy shit, AMAZING. FUCK ME. All the goodies and oldies and newies and their "rock with me" cover. All legit. The singer is so cute! and they sound SO GOOD live. Andy. Honolulu. Zoom. Evie. It felt very surreal when the old songs played. AMAZING like it was a good time, I wish I was dancing with someone and kissing them and it would be like a perfect cinematic scene during their song "Weekend" especially these lyrics, somehow I felt very euphoric:

People were dancing and drunk. The crowd was wild! Do you really want it?. I was at the front to the side and ALPINE was so good on stage, played all the classics- FOOLISHLY ATTRACTED TO YOUUU~U~U~U~U~U. YEAH~ I'M HERE~~~~~ THERE'S GASOLINE IN MY EYES~~~ fun night.

I didn't really take good photos just some on Snapchat! - Very fun filled night.

Got there at James Street super early at 4pm to meet up with Nadi and friends. It was so early and empty and they were still setting up. Went to Ribs & Burgers across the street to eat (will blog post later). After we went to the main area to get hennas and the little tent set-up was cute. There was also chocolate covered strawberries and mineral water if you do get one! We saw people with Camilla coconuts so we just walked straight there to get a coconut--so good!

James Street is so upper-east side. And I'm pretty sure we walked passed at least 50 fashion bloggers or at least people with 50k followers on Instagram.

We saw Margaret Zhang on the stage! She is so so cute and adorable! At 6PM they give out a goodie bag! With ELLE magazine, MAC orange colour lipstick- hell-fucking-yeah, Blood orange drink, Colgate, some vouchers, a pair of socks, dry shampoo, T2 box.. good stuff! It got hella hectic and real, people started pushing in and you were stuck and couldn't get out- seriously, chill.

Goodie bag.

We went to the hat store- HK Hat Oasis and took some photos at the photobooth! So fun and we get to keep them! There was a cactus! Photobooths are always fun though.

Went to Kookai and there was a little ice-cream cart in front of the store. The nutella and mascarpone flavour was the best! There was 20% off, and we got some NAKD artisan water (FANCY!) and  mini cupcakes, the creative director and stylist of Kookai was there too! (fame! struck!)

MAC Pro store. My favourite. Real life body art. Canapes (Hell yeah.). Champagne (YES!) + cute guys doing top-ups. Had a little make-over by a very talented make-up artist. Talked to some randoms-  especially this fabulous woman who was rather loud and big and rambunctious but gurl I was DIGGING it!, who complimented my newly done make-up and Tom Ford glasses. MAKE ME LOOK 5 POUNDS LIGHTER! LOL. It felt very relaxing and VIP getting my makeup did.

Mimco- Nodo-Donuts. Spend $199 in store and get a free personalised engraved keyring! (if only I had the funds). I am really in LOVE with ALL the big stud earrings from MIMCO. SOMEONE BUY ME THEM ITS ONLY $50 EACH. I would've bought 4. Wow, I'm totally getting my hands on them come my birthday.

Mecca- Nadi taught me her frugal ways (I mean, saavy) and got to try some skin samples, the girl working there was so pretty, and she gave us so much information and was so so helpful! (So is L'occitane in Myer Centre!) Tried the $635 La mer cream. Half a grand on cream? Wow.

Calexico: Champagne, snacks and cupcakes! There was always something happening at each store, like free alcohol. At the end of the day, I collected a lot of glass water bottles. It was a very fun night! It ended at 9pm, but there was an after-party. I can't believe I was about to stay home, would definitely go here again.

Caloundra Beach Trip with the baboo

Went to the beach with lemonnn and we thought it was gonna rain today- thunderstorms according to Siri BUT IT DIDNT YAY.

It was just perfect and sunshining at the sunshine coast !

caught some waves and it was good bc there werent much people !

we found a coral! and used it to smash things!! woo woo! and went on the rocks to smash mollusces and sea things.

we tried to look for worms - took ages-  and we caught 1 but it was small so we let it go.

and i found a pretty pink crystal rock and hid it in my bra- idk where it is now lol

after we walked around the shops and got ICE CREAM.. "shouldve got the deluxe cone" LMFAO it just had chocolate around it and sprinkles. i got cookies and creme and choc mint so yum and sat down at the tables near the sea, nice area, with lots of seagulls and there was 1 cute fat one hehe

we went home- well ~ and at like 2am, pitch dark, we were both half awake but sleepy as hell and he just rolls over and says "shouldve gotten the deluxe cone" HAHHAH it was just random asf.

What I did in Toowoomba

IDEK what this blog is! It's a mess. LOL. ANYWAY. Yesterday was labour day and I travelled 1.10 hours South to Toowoomba. We passed the Big Orange (I think it's just a fruit shop) and a lot of cows and all the typical rural sceneries.

I took these photos with my iphone and it was really speedy!

• #1 thing to do according to Tripadvisor. It was so weird because people's houses were just literally down the block.

After we were kinda exhausted since it was so sweaty. There was a lot more to do! I WANT TO DO THEM ALL. But, we were tired. We stopped at maccas on the way back to cool down & got frappes.

And visited the Cabbage farm directly behind it where we stood wet patched and in some sort of funky cow manure. (fml- I was wearing thongs too). But i really liked the cabbages. It was nice n big. Should've taken a panorama view of it. Also, next adventure- should go to Wivenhoe Dam  (even though I've already been w/ Liam) but since it's along the way, more closer than I expected- only 40 minutes drive from my house.

It was a pleasant day.

Purling Brook Falls, Springbrook, QLD.

Went on a hiking trip to Springbrook National Park with 9 others.  It was a 1.5 hour drive and the drive up the mountain was lovely. Anh's car speakers didn't work so we had to use the crappy Beats by Dr. Dre pill. We were just singing The Weeknd and Sam Smith mostly (but really I wanted to play indie summery road trip songs about youth- too bad almost everybody dissed it LOL, screw you guys. Just cause I have a diverse taste in music).

Pretty cool rock things.  There were huge rocks. Nice boulder.

Seeing so much lush and green makes me so calm. This was the 4km hiking track. Saw moss on a tree and me and Danny were pretending it was kush. Also "Jay Sean" took some really awful photos on my camera in awkward camera angles, so that was also hilarious and also embarrassing. 

Swimming hole! Too bad when I mentioned swimming in the group chat everybody roasted me but they still went in with clothes anyway. Yup. Swimming would have been a good idea. Even more so in the summer. 

There was a giant log you could sit on and I just there watching the waterfall and trees. Taking it all in. And it was fucking magical. The cave thingys were huge and it was really beautiful and majestic. We bought bananas to eat and I posed in some risque pics, so that was fun. By almost the end I was extremely exhausted, and we were at the top of the waterfall, and then it was  just like "oh, that's it.". Fun day. 

Cleopold, Miami Horror, Joy, Young Franco.

Went to the Miami Horror concert last week and it was awesomeeeeee. I parked at fortitude valley and the traffic was awful & had to change 2 lanes to get to the parking area...also I bumped the left side of my car to a pole while turning... so FML, left a small scratch.

 $5 for weekend parking is dirt cheap though.

Met up with my bro and we walked around looking for something to eat, went to "greaser" which was an underground burger/bar place, so secretive, and then took the above pic and walked out. 

Anyway we decided to eat Alfredo's pizza. (which was a bit overpriced). we walked into another bar and wanted to get "cheeseburger spring rolls" but our stomachs were full, so next time..

Cleopold!

We entered the venue at Wooly Mammoth when the doors open at 8.30pm, walked straight in the doors and Miami Horror was ACTUALLY playing and I just walked in shamelessly and interrupted them in rehearsals AHHAHA DIDNT EVEN REALISE. SO AWKWARD. BUT HE WAS SINGING TO US. we walked out. I saw Reece. Walked right past him.. DIDNT REALISE.

 We didn't know what to do while we waited so we decided to drink, 2 beers and it was the best decision at the time because later we were already drunk in a time frame of 5-10 minutes and had the time of our lives. I felt a lot more fun and confident when I'm drunk, words just come out of my mouth so easily, like the things I think of when I'm sober (should I say it??/or not??) I JUST fucking say it.

 I met reece's girlfriend and i think i made a better impression of myself than 1/2 the people I feel i should be making good impressions of myself of (? makes sense.). and she was totally nice like we could be like besties. weird bc i hate people in general but i like a person if that makes sense, yeah it totally does like, you can like someone by themselves, as a person.... (mayb bc drunk everyone is your friend). We totally rocked the fuck out to the supporting act, Cleopold. It was like being on drugs, I guess alcohol is drugs. But you could FEEL the music more when you're dancing. everything is just heightened. Alcohol is fun. And concerts are more fun than clubbing imo. (dont have to worry bout sweaty boys rubbing their crotch against ur back- although that could be the fu........HOWEVER, better crowd, better music, people who like the same music~ and better dancing~~~~ and no bloody heels that give you blisters, literally~~~and more chill vibes ~assures. screw clubbing, it's funny though like when you're 17 you're like OMG cant wait to go clubbing  !!and when you finally do, it sucks donkey ass)

I also met these two drunk white girls, one was very tall and she started grinding on me, and we just started dancing together and she's like "HEY!"  and im like 'HEY!" in the girls' bathroom. you meet the coolest people/ 

JOY

The second supporting act was JOY. I haven't heard of her but when she came on I just kept thinking omg she is beautiful and perfect like can i be your friend ? do i want to be her like am i supposed to be jealous ??or do i want her to be my friend that does questionable lesbianating stuff w (????? HALP). OMG she is actually really pretty n cool in my opinion and her bod is ugh. AND she has such an angelic voice.

Young Franco

Young Franco. I saw him before, and I was naturally fangirling bc he did look like a franco brother but here he is again and OMG hes so cute with his glasses and suit. HAHAH "who's this nerdy kid?" BUT HONESTLY HE KNOWS HOW TO DJ like WOW THIS SHIT IS THE EPITOME OF EDM. so funk. so hip. trap music. disco. EVRYTHINg. DANCE DANce DNACE until your legs fall off. he raised the motherfucking roof and I love how he dances to the music and looks SO HAPPY while doing it. I think i honestly enjoyed the supporting acts more than the primary one. maybe, perhaps because I was finally unravelling the sleepiness phase of the alcohol, yeah i am sure of it. I felt sleepy the rest of the night.

I hate waiting in between while people set up the stage. feels like eternity.. Finally at like 12am, Miami Horror comes on. They rocked and 100% delivered. They walked through the stage hi fiving people, jumped on the amp, did stage dives. BAD- ASS!  anyway, 10/10 would drink alcohol at a concert again.
