Mt. Tamborine

We drove 1.5 hours to Mt. Tambourine. There were really cheap fruits out the front of the homes while we were driving like $1 for a bag of avocados, anyway. We walked into the "Antiques and Oddities" store. Full of weird things, creepy stuff, skulls, animal heads, baby dolls, scary Santeria stuff and coffins. Freaky Scooby Doo-type vibes. 3spooky5u. The store was part of the Gallery walk which is a whole street filled with restaurants and cafes, small stores and antique/vintage shops.

I just find these spoons and cutlery so pretty and decorative. This was from another store. Just random knick-knacks I guess. It's just a very quaint spot to do some browsing.

We decided to stop by "Fudge Heaven" which claimed to be "Australia's Number 1 Fudge" as seen on TV.  And who couldn't resist. There were an abundance of flavours to choose from. And you could have a try as well. They were $5 each for a small block, the whole time I was just thinking "Damn, they be making bank". We delve right in and bought the Caramel Cream flavour, it was dense and sugary and indulgent. Literally fudge heaven. Best when you cut it in thin slices with a knife and eat in small amounts.

We got a map at the info desk and drove further to Cedar Creek Falls. It was scenic drive. The parking was difficult because it was quite busy. Walked down past the picnic and BBQ areas, and we reached a look out area great for taking photos where you can see the waterfall. We had to do some walking and go underneath the rails to get a good spot to eat snacks on the rocks. There was another designated area if you walked further down that's perfect for swimming in the summer, like a waterhole.

At this point it was getting pretty late into the arvo, and there was so many other wonderful activities we could've done like Glow Worm Caves! Aw, can't believe we missed it, checking out wineries, hiking and SkyWalk, but maybe next time I will plan more and go a bit earlier to do all the things!
