Wivenhoe Dam and Mt. Mee

Me and the lemonboy planned on having a trip to the mountain up north. We drove to Mt. Mee and stopped at the lookout, we were so close to the cows, you could pat them over the fence. Our favourite cow was the the brown one with the white face, so cute! Liam made cupcakes with green icing called "swamp flavour" and he didn't even spread it, it was just sorta like a nipple icing.

Anyway, we decided to keep driving and go on a spontaneous road trip to ?? Exploring Australia ??Not sure yet at this point but we pulled over and checked a few maps. We passed Kilcoy, Esk and other country suburbs. While we were driving a  random flock of pink and white birds (I think it was a galah) were flying in harmony in front of us AND IT WAS FUCKING MAJESTIC AS FUCK. and so cute. I cried. Such a beautiful moment.

We stopped at Lake Wivenhoe, I've never been here before but it was so peaceful. And as we were driving in, a black and red snake slithered across the road and went into the bushes #straya. I wanted to sleep in the sleeping bag for funsies but Liam was being a bitch. He tried fishing but he only caught a bunch of seaweed. Also there was one pelican and it was swimming slowly towards us moving the waters like "Bitch, outta my way!" Cute moment!

We just stopped at places and this was Wivenhoe Dam, it was so pretty, so good to just take it in! and especially when we crossed the bridge. It was good because it was a Wednesday. and there was basically nobody there and we had essentially all the places all to ourselves.

We went into the Wivenhoe Dam Spillway where you can see the gates open but it wasn't. Anyway still a cute area. We were having some troubles finding the canoe thing area but we found it and you just had to open the gate, I was like "OMG this is hard to open", turns out I just opened it the wrong way. Blonde moment. We walked down some steep roads and we touched sandstone and threw it, there was some holes in it which were pretty cool.

We walked on some rocks where there was a great view of the whole thing. There was also a pelican family sitting on a log. So so so so cute! Cute moment! I've never so many pelicans in the same place at once. We drove back to base. There was a cool forest scenic drive with nice leaves and quaint houses. Today was adventurous.

Stay gold ponyboy!
