Miels Container Review

Located in Brisbane CBD in a quaint red shipping container is Miel's Burgers. Super hyped. I came in with high expectations and left broken hearted with disappointment.

I ordered the Classic Beef burger (which came with chips) - $12. Pretty cheap. The burger itself was pretty ordinary, nothing rocked my socks off. The patty was a bit bland and dry, the bun wasn't crisp/toasted, and was missing a crunch that was crucial in my burger criteria.

First bite, "I've had better" I thought to myself. I compared it to Grill'd's Simply Grill'd burger. At least the chips were amazing, though. Crunchy, thick, expertly herbed with thyme and whatnot. And that garlic aoli, bliss.

My friends ordered the Tandoori chicken, and it was apparently very spicy. I tried it myself and it was  in fact, very spicy. It was such a waste only eating 1/2 of it because it was so spicy. I am not exaggerating on the word SPICY.

I usually finish all my food, but I actually, physically and mentally couldn't finish it. I was not enjoying it. My friends couldn't finish theirs either. And afterwards an ibis hopped on the table.

Overall,
  • Good portion for good price for the extremely hungry
  • Was ordinary, bland, eh.
  • No "WOW" factor
  • Burger crunchiness: 0
  • nice chips
  • service was a little bit iffy
1.75/5
