technical difficulties

My wireless mouse thing stopped working ;(
but the light is still on?!
someone help

also its a Microsoft mouse if thats changes anything
and my operation system is mac osx

i tried restarting, turning it on and off (lol)
changing the batteries
And changing USB ports, but its still not responding >_>

not sure how to uninstall/reinstall the device thing and idk if that even works?!

help what shall i do

i will not get a new mouse unless this is unfixable
