How To: Tone bleached blonde hair! ~DIY Hair toner

Purple hair toners can be very $$, that's why I'm here ~ surprise ~ to tell you an easy alternative to manage those brassy hairs away! Fear not gurlies/guylies!

The colour came out a bit ugly>>> HAHAHAHHA but that's OKAY!

DIY HAIR TONER

Use to remove orange/brassy tones from bleached hair.

You'll need:

  • Hair
  • Patience
  • Blue food colouring- about $1 at your local supermarket
  • White conditioner or leave in treatment/hair mask- I used Pantene's Intensive treatment
  • Optional: Disposable food gloves in your kitchen
  • Mixing bowl/empty ice cream tub/plate/newspaper. Just any surface you don't mind getting messy.
  • Brush thing- mine was a couple of bucks from a hair shop.

Without further or do, let's get started:

  1. Add a few drops blue colouring (1-2) into a mixing bowl and mix with the bottom end of the brush thing
  2. Mix till it sorta becomes a pale blue ~ The colour I mixed was an ugly green, i accidently used too much green. But you can sorta play around with the ratios.
  3. Apply to hair, just slap it on and even it out
  4. Leave it in and wait like 15-20 minutes. You can put on a shower cap if you want. And wander about
  5. Wash it out. This step looks very cool. Done. Voila! It will be really soft too ~~~
* You could also add drops to your shampoo and conditioner for everyday use.
* 2 drops of blue, 1 drop of green and 1 drop of red to make a bluish/purple shade.

Before/After pic.

Good luck, bye.
