Spontaneous last-minute cafe trip!
Next to Topshop/across from Starbucks. |
The interior decor looks really cool.
We were standing around for like 2 minutes, waiting, the barista was just making her drinks...until my friend came up and ordered a drink. I think a small greeting would have been nice.
We went upstairs to sit but went down again, because it looks better down.
But they had a bar, Japanese food upstairs and ramen on the 3rd level. But we came for the coffee...perhaps another time.
It was a hot day that day so I ordered a mocha manschy with dark chocolate ($6.50) it's like a frappe/blended ice thing. It was actually really good!! But, the only weird details I noticed was the rice bubbles and thyme for decoration ~was a little bit unnecessary as I ended up accidently tasting the thyme in my drink at the end.
However, the Swiss white chocolate flourless cake made up for it.
A little bit on the pricey side ($8 a small slice). Expensive, but delicious. The cake was heavenly and decadent.
The cake was sweet and the sauce (lemony) went perfect with it!
Ahh.. looking out and thinking bout life |
Overall, reasonably priced coffee and drinks menu, close to the city, visually appealing. I'd go here again if I need a cold iced coffee fix. OK service. Good but expensive cake.
