Looking for a good quality Japanese restaurant? THIS IS THE ONE. This is what I've been looking for.
Went to Wagaya for lunch at Fortitude Valley with 5 people, near the TBC Centre/Chinatown area.
It's upstairs. It's really popular and it gets very crowded around dinner time and absolutely packed Friday night.

Everything is ordered from a touchscreen and is really easy to order too much, because there is so much variety at good prices! |
Everyone ordered the Matcha- green tea- ice latte ($5) it was really refreshing, one of the best Matcha drinks I've ever tasted. Not too sweet, not too bitter, just perfect and the huge scoop of the green tea ice cream was AMAZING. Totally worth it.
This is the Spaghetti set my friend ordered, really unique.

This is the Takoyaki, which is the octopus balls, I really wish I ordered this.
This is the Bento box, I think you really get a lot out of this. The tofu was really nice. I should have ordered this.
I ordered the soy-based Ramen set ($13.50) and honestly was a little bit too salty for my liking and I would've liked more pork, only one piece in there. The set came with 2 pieces of Gyoza which was perfect and also, a bowl of plain rice, I was a bit confused on why they would just give a rice.

We ordered the Green tea cheesecake ($7) and shared between three people because it looked so good on the screen. Do not be deceived by the presentation of this dish! The texture of this cheesecake was-- to be blatant -- horrible. It was not what I was expecting, it's not melting-in-your-mouth texture, but it was a bit rough/dry/biscuity. What a let-down.

Cute booths and the dim lights made it more atmospheric~ good vibes |
Overall, a cool fun place to go with your friends, great for groups, cheap prices, fantastic dishes, stay away from the cheesecake.
I would go here regularly. It's such an experience.
5/5☺
